As the portal has more than plain phpbb you'll need the style from here to update when your done.

The styles you download from this site. They are already ported for portal version 1.0.3/1.0.4 and phpbb 3.0.6

The portal you download from http://www.stargate-portal.com, but you have to make an account and send mike a pm and ask if you can be on the test team group to be able to download 1.0.3/1.0.4 because it hasn't been released yet. It is stable though and works nicely.

Styles are downloadable on this site after you log in. to the left your see a style demo block and just go to the style you want then click download.

I think he opened the dev forum to members so he should be able to just join and find the download link in that forum.
